It’s the first of July!

Kids are packing for summer camps, firework stands are popping up all over town, we are sampling every kind of popsicle we can get our hands on, and we head to the pool most afternoons. I love these hot, lazy days. It seems like time slows down, of which I am always a fan. I hear the phrase “I am bored” at least once a day, which I celebrate because it means we aren’t moving too fast. Last night we biked to the next nearest town via a lovely nature trail. It felt so good to be biking instead of driving. On the way back we rode in the dark accompanied by the song of crickets. Tonight our plan is to watch an old classic black and white movie and pop some popcorn. W are really working on leaning into the slow around here. These are good days.
