Each morning as I wake I have been noticing it’s getting harder and harder to get out of the cozy confines of my bed because it’s darker and darker outside. I am a day late posting this because I submitted my final manuscript to a publishing company for a children’s book they will be releasing next year. The book is set at the edge of dusk, so I must be still in that head space with this swirling barely-lit-sky ( which was inspired by one of my favorite Whistler paintings.) As I am typing this, still under the blankets, the projects of the day are calling my name. But all I want to do is linger here a little longer, watching the maple leaves dance slowly to the ground. Come in November! We have been waiting for you.
